Withdrawal Information

Widerrufsbelehrung für digitale Inhalte

Your standard right of withdrawal

As a consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, under §§ 355, 356 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Why this right ends early for the Full Cognitive Report

The Full Cognitive Report is digital content not supplied on a physical medium. Under § 356 (5) BGB and Art. 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive, your right of withdrawal expires once we begin delivering that content, but only if:

  • you have given your express consent for us to begin delivery before the 14-day period ends, and
  • you have acknowledged that giving this consent means you lose your right of withdrawal.

Because your report is unlocked immediately after payment, we ask for this consent and acknowledgement via an explicit, unticked checkbox on the checkout screen before you can proceed to payment. We record the fact and time of that confirmation together with your purchase. If you do not tick that checkbox, checkout does not proceed and no early delivery — and no loss of withdrawal right — occurs.

If you did not give this consent

If you believe you completed a purchase without validly giving this consent, or you have another concern about a payment, contact us at instituteofcognition@gmail.com and we will review it individually. This page does not itself grant a right beyond what German and EU law require, and does not replace individual legal advice.

Flagged for manual legal review: whether the current on-screen checkbox confirmation, together with the timestamp recorded against the Stripe checkout session, is sufficient durable evidence of consent under § 356 (5) BGB, or whether an additional emailed confirmation should also be implemented.
